Welcome

The main goal of this website is to keep the memory of Alice Miller (1923-2010), encourage further research on the roots of violence in childhood (Psychohistory / Psychosociology), and present her work in a small exhibition, the Alice Miller Peace Museum.

The SDG 16.2.

The Alice Miller Foundation of course has its focus on the SDG 16.2., namely the protection of children from Violence.

Psychosociology / Psycho-Sociology

We consider Alice Miller also as a representant of research in the field Psychosociology, even though she is mainly considered to be a psychohistorian (because she examined e.g. the childhood of Hitler) and called herself a "childhood researcher".

The Alice Miller Foundation wants to re-activate the term Psycho-Sociology to encourage research on the current situation of children and its connection to war in specified countries or world regions to promote these topics also in the field of peace research and peacebuilding.

International Day against Violence against Children

We´d like to encourage an International Day against Violence against Children every year, and suggest the 14th of April, because it is the dying day of Alice Miller.
