The Alice Miller Peace Museum

There are already some Peace Museums worldwide, yet the focus on violence in childhood as a main factor for violent conflicts and war seems to be underrepresented.

Therefore a Peace Museum focusing on the work of Alice Miller and other authors dealing with the origins of war in childhood, like Lloyd DeMause, Arno Gruen, Sven Fuchs, Robin Grille, Herbert Renz-Polster, Henri Parens, is being prepared here in Austria.

The ALICE MILLER PRIZE

The Alice Miller Prize is a yearly award that is given to researchers, writers or journalists who relate to Alice Miller in their work and thus keep the memory of her important thoughts regarding the roots of violence in childhood.

And it can be given to nonprofit organisations taking action for the protection of children from violence.

The amount of money that can be granted varys. The board members of the Alice Miller Memorial Foundation receive recommendations - and pursue their own research among scientific papers published on the internet in the course of one year.

But you can also make a suggestion for the Alice Miller Prize 2018 by commenting below this post (comments will be reviewed - they require a Google account).

Die Facebook Gruppe "Psychhistorie"

Auf Facebook gibt es eine Gruppe, in der Alice Millers Gedanken und jene vergleichbarer Autoren - wie Lloyd deMause, Arno Gruen, Sven Fuchs, Henri Parens, Robin Grille diskutiert werden können:

Alice Miller Book Donation Programme

Another goal of of the Alice Miller Memorial Foundation is to send books of Alice Miller to public libraries. We can not guarantee that we can fulfill every wish, but you can send us a fax (see Fax address below - must contain an offical stamp or official letter-header of a public library or educational institution - such as schools or universities).

Psychosociology / Psycho-Sociology

We consider Alice Miller also as a representant of research in the field Psychosociology, even though she is mainly considered to be a psychohistorian (because she examined e.g. the childhood of Hitler) and called herself a "childhood researcher".

The Alice Miller Foundation wants to re-activate the term Psycho-Sociology to encourage research on the current situation of children and its connection to war in specified countries or world regions to promote these topics also in the field of peace research and peacebuilding.

Alice Miller Gesellschaft

Alice Miller Society - Alice Miller Institute

We have been thinking how to define our project - maybe also Alice Miller Society or Alice Miller Institute - but as we are not a registered NonProfit right now, it is "Alice Miller Foundation" right now, having some financial resources for funding in the mentioned fields, and a room in Austria to start the Peace Museum.

Psychosoziologie / Psycho-Soziologie

International Day against Violence against Children

We´d like to encourage an International Day against Violence against Children every year, and suggest the 14th of April, because it is the dying day of Alice Miller.
